Jeanne's House, Nov 2005 - 22-25 Nov 2005

I hadn't visited my Aunt Jeanne and her family for nearly a year, though they had visited us back in June. Still, the time had come. One of the big differences of this trip was that Rachael was so excited to play with my camera this year; so whereas I normally come out with 50-100 shots when I leave the house, this time I had 300+! This has taken me a while to catch up on; it's been nearly three months since the visit, and I've finally cut down the picture quantities to a reasonable size...

Anyway, here's another good batch of pictures of my favorite cousins, my lovely Beth, and my family. Enjoy.

Images
Annoyed Rachael
I believe that my first real mistake was taking a picture of Rachael when she didn't expect it; she wanted the camera after that.
Weiner Bun
I believe this was her first picture; it wasn't too bad.
Skyline Kitty
I got this one, though. It was a good shot of the silly cat.
Doggy Portrait
I've been playing with more close-up shots lately, and this one was a pretty good one.
Matt
The rest of the family started wandering in pretty quickly.
Grandpa and Beth
Much as I like Beth's smile, seeing Grandpa trying to play my Nintendo DS is weirder.
Grandpa and Nintendo DS
In fact, it's worth a picture on its own...
Tim
Rachael took this shot, I believe, and did a good job.
Matt, II
She's got talent, that one.
Grandpa
I will always remember Grandpa with that laugh and smile.
Playing with Weiner Bun
The tennis ball was far, far too huge.
Playing with Weiner Bun, II
It made the game far more like soccer.
Playing with Weiner Bun, III
Soccer for dogs would rock.
Playing with Weiner Bun, IV
Of course, here he looks like like a seal.
Lauren
This was her first time home during her first semester of school. It was good to talk to her about that...
Emma
As beatific as ever. Oh, Emma!
Rachael
In one of her few moments not behind my camera.
Mom
I think that visiting Jeanne's place is one of the most relaxing aspects of her life.
Skyline Kitty
Oh, I *love* this picture!
Jeanne
She was looking at something, but I really have no idea what.
Beth
*smile* My love.
Matt, III
Just a bit of a close-up.
Tim, II
I'M SMILING! WHEE!
Emma, II
If I'd been taking the shot she would have smiled; but since Rachael did it, she kindof glared.
Annoyed Matt
Similarly, Rachael can get shots of her brother acting annoyed, whereas he wouldn't do that around me...
Jeanne, II
I think that Aunt Jeanne was amused by the commotion of Rachael taking pictures.
Huge Bone
We found this bone for the dog at Goodwill. Only $4!
Confused Dog
Okay, so it was twice as big as the dog.
Confused Dog, II
Weiner Bun gave up within seconds.
Lauren and Weiner Bun
I think she misses her dog.
Confused Dad
I guess he was taking a nap.
Looking Into Space
This is definitely one of the better candid shots of me I've seen lately. Good job, Rachael!
Odd Face
The world deserves to see me making odd faces, since I've put such odd shots of others up too...
Dad
Reading the paper? Maybe. I'm not really sure what he was working on.
Sudoku Mom
She's grown obsessed with the games over the last few months. It's cute, really.
Dad and Rachael
Dad loves his nieces and nephews, if this picture didn't make it obvious.
Cleaning the Plates
Somebody has to get the dishes clean, I guess.
Relaxing on Beth
I like how I was too tired to wake up, but Beth was awake enough to smile appropriately.
Danny Arrives
Danny showed up a day into our visit, with Celeste in tow.
Dad and Danny
Our family laughs together a lot.
Danny and Emma
Danny had never tried Mario Kart DS before; and Emma had important social activities to organize. But does that stand in the way of cuddling? Of course not!
Beth, II
Beth loves the kids, the time to read, and the dog. To be honest, I think the dog is the best part.
Talk to the Hand
*smile* I love watching those two interact.
Lauren's New T-Shirt
Danny brought a bunch of them, and the kids were proud to get them.
Celeste
She's enjoyed visiting with Danny in the past, and seemed just as happy this time.
Celeste and Weiner Bin
Celeste is always happy to see Weiner Bun too, just like Beth.
Grandpa
He's always confused when I pull out the camera.
Dad and Celery
No, I couldn't explain why he's trying to drive it into his head.
Dad and Celery, II
Showing off how it comes apart and you can still see the veins.
Tim at Work
Something had blown up back home, and I had to fix it.
Matt at Work
Something was blowing up on the track, and Matt had to fix it.
Posing with Emma
Everybody likes the new t-shirts! (Celeste, Emma, Danny)
Broken Thermometer, I
Yes, the air temperature is 122.9 degrees fahrenheit.
Lauren Finds A Dog
One of the running stories of our trip was that there was a missing sheltie in our neighberhood.
Lauren Finds A Dog, II
We (well, Lauren) actually found *two* shelties.
Lauren Finds A Dog, III
But this one was the one that we were looking for in the first place...
Lauren Finds A Dog, IV
...and we were all insanely proud about it. Hooray for returning dogs to their rightful owners!
Broken Thermometer, II
Yes, the air temperature is 305.0 degrees fahrenheit. (And counting...)
Greg
I never really get good shots of Greg, but I'm continuing to try.
Drinking Greg
I should really bring my own Diet Coke next time.
Turkey
This was a quite tasty one. (I can get away with saying that, Dad can't...)
Happy Dog
It's good to have some attention, but not too much.
Sitting Around
I think we were watching a dancing video.
Matt in His Natural Environment
I can say this because I remember being in the same situation at his age.
Having a Good Time
Emma was enjoying telling her stories, and Beth was enjoying just being there. At least, I hope so.
Glaring Greg
It at least looks like him, even if the shot's not great.
Dad and Cranberry Relish
I think that this was because we had brought our own cranberry orange relish; I was worried before hand.
Kroger's Oyster Crackers
This is the best kind of oyster crackers in the world. Yum!
Potatoes, Before Dinner
I like Jeanne's potatoes.
Potatoes, After Dinner
I liked Jeanne's potatoes.
Toasting Greg
I think this is the best shot of Greg I've ever gotten.
Tim, III
That's me.
Tim, IV
For once, I think the better shot was the one of me looking at the camera.
Tim and Beth
I hope it's obvious that I love her.
Banged-Up Grandpa
Grandpa fell on the steps outside. I'm glad he's okay.
Smiling Emma
I'm always proud of my cousins.
Strike A Pose
Rachael Vogue.
Holding the Kitty
Skyline Kitty can be held; it just takes work...
Holding the Kitty and the Dog
...and not having Weiner Bun around.
