Tracy Arm - 30 May 2007 - Yet More Mountains
They don't quite get the whole majesty of the place...

On the way up to Skagway, the ship went through Tracy Arm, a gorgeous fjord in the middle of glacier territory. The run through took about four hours starting too early in the morning, and while I slept through the first half or so, the second half was absolutely gorgeous. It was like a cold Milford Sound (a fjord in New Zealand that I saw, and didn't properly appreciate, when I was a kid).
