At the end of our housewarming
party, Dave Watanabe came by and asked if we could take care of a
dog that was wandering the neighberhood. Beth and I agreed to take the
beagle-mix when we saw him, partially because we knew that otherwise he'd
just wander the area for the night, and partially because we had already
fallen in love with him enough to name him on sight... We got to keep him
until the following Thursday, when I found his owner while walking him and
putting up "dog found" signs.
Sonic was a spectacular dog. I never really thought that much about
having a dog until I had him; now I'm convinced it will happen some day.

Tim and Sonic He really was a cute little dog; half-beagle, half-mutt.
|
Stretched Face I was trying to get him to look at the camera...
|
Excited Dog He spent a lot of time looking at us with this look.
|
Sonic This is the picture we used for the "found dog" posters.

Sad Sonic "I don't want to be out of the house!"
|
Petting Sonic He really appreciated the attention.
|
Sonic Inside A couple of days later, Sonic was very sad that Darren wouldn't feed him a burger.
|
Hungry Sonic Oh, how hungry poor little Sonic could get!

Begging Sonic I was strong, and didn't give him food; Beth, not so much; and you never want to talk about visitors.
|
Lonely Sonic I love how all dog expressions can get down to "I am sad."
|
Lonely Sonic, II Especially when it's *so* not true!
|
Cleaning Himself "Fine then, my balls need cleaning anyway!"
