I've always liked a good party; so when it was announced that I was leaving for Stanford, I also knew that I wanted to have a proper send-off. Joyce, Marilyn, my Dad's lab manager Margaret, and some unknown number of students managed to do an excellent job of getting the whole thing put together in the nicest room in the building (Beckman's 5th-floor tower room); and there was cake!
