Jacob and Amber's Wedding - Reception - 4:30pm - 9:00pm
The wedding reception took place at the same location as the wedding itself - which is fine, it was a great place for it, and the weather even cooperated! After a few more minutes of setting up the tables, I re-claimed my camera (for a while) and started taking pictures again.

Images
Post-Wedding Romping
The kids had to sit for almost 20 minutes; time to run around like idiots instead!
Post-Wedding Battle
Okay, maybe the romping was a bit scary eventually.
Setting Up for Signing
We still had to sign the paperwork.
Signing the Paperwork
Given that I was one of the two witnesses, I didn't get to take this shot myself. (I got to be a witness!)
Wedding Table
It was just the four of us.
Centerpiece
And a pair of sunglasses.
Minister and DJ
Waiting to give the blessing.
Sat Down for Dinner
Except that I still had to give a speech!
Skirv's Speech
I gave one.
Skirv's Speech, II
I was originally expecting to give the speech from up front...
Skirv's Speech, III
Instead, I got to scramble for the paper.
Skirv's Speech, IV
To be fair, I didn't really follow the speech that closely either... but I tried.
Listening to the Speech
I'm glad that Bill was able to grab the camera again.
Skirv's Speech, V
The highlight of my speech: I brought props. T-shirts, specifically.
Listening to the Speech, II
Amber seemed amused enough, at least.
Listening to the Speech, III
Okay, it's horribly out of focus, but it gets the point across: I impressed them!
Skirv's Speech - The T-Shirt
For Jacob, I got a Green Lantern shirt; for Amber, a Midsummer Night's Dream shirt.
Skirv's Speech - Post-Shirt
Yes, I look a bit smug.
Skirv's Speech - Losing the Paper
It had started blowing away by this point, but at least I tried.
Skirv's Speech, Conclusion
I'm still honored to have gotten to give the speech.
Mel's Response
Apparently not so positivel
Ray's Response
At least Ray was thoughtful.
Hungry Couple
Getting to eat first is a nice benefit.
Hungry Couple, II
Of course, it's easy to make them kiss as well, enough to let me get back to the table and eat second.
Front Table
The background is gorgeous. The hungry people were almost besides the point.
Eating Shot
Yeah. We're both attractive this way.
Dinner Kiss
They didn't have to do this very much. I think that's a good thing.
Dessert Tray
Amber was nice enough to make sure there was non-chocolate dessert for me. Thank you, Amber!
First Dance
Okay, they're *giddy*. That's somewhat rare.
First Dance, II
It was really great to see them both so happy.
First Dance, III
Also fun: getting shots of Jacob's Dad taking pictures of them so happy...
First Dance, IV
They were even doing a fairly good job of dancing...
First Dance, V
I continue to be happy with the smiling.
First Dance, VI
Joy is fun to watch at the time, and still good in the photos.
First Dance, VII
And it wasn't even just the relief at being done!
First Dance, VIII
I'm proud to have been there. Truly. Thank you for choosing me, Jacob.
First Dance, IX
So many shots, and I can't even bring myself to cut them down!
Pictures of First Dance
I wasn't the only one taking way too many pictures...
Little Boy
Not much to say about him.
Jacob and Peggy
She was giddy too. Really, this was a joyful day!
Amber and Rod
I just had to cut down the number of pictures of these dances...
Photographer and Glare
I have to admit, I want her camera. Or a better camera, anyway.
More Amateur Photography
I think his name was Ben? He's Jacob's cousin, anyway.
Professional Photography
I think there were 10 people taking good pictures at this place. ~8%.
Professional Photography, II
That's either good numbers or excessive.
Even More Amateur Photography
Or both.
More Daddy-Daughter
Oh yeah, we were taking pictures *of* something!
Jacob and Peggy, II
The color contrasts are nice here.
Yet More Amateur Photography
Well, with a camera phone, anyway.
Allenite Mingling
We like mingling.
Amber and Dad, II
Thoughtful. Just thoughtful.
Parents and Couple
One last shot of the first parent dance...
Jodie and Jacob
...because there's another dance set to go!
Amber and Peter
I hadn't seen this before, but it is fair.
Amber and Peter, II
Why is the DJ interrupting?
Girls Dancing
Eventually we went on to other dancing couples.
Hokey-Pokey
I ran when the normal dances came up.
Handling the Car
The wedding party had some work to do.
Blowing up Balloons
And trying to make shapes with them. But we were very bad at this.
Green Lantern Soap
DB did a good job with the Yellow and Blue.
DB
He wasn't actually drunk.
<FISH><
Okay, maybe it was more my signature instead of doing something for him, but it still seemed right...
Just Married
The default. It wouldn't be right without.
Help!
A nice word balloon.
Captain Pecker
Okay, it's only a balloon version, but it's something good.
Balloon and Mirror
That balloon was over-inflate, so it didn't last much longer.
Pop Cans
Just the right size and location to make them hard to spot later. Perfect.
Fish Balloon
<FISH><><
Balloon Creatures
Give us credit, we tried!
Inflating Balloons
At least none of us hyperventilated.
Loading Up the Car
I did a good job of convincing Jacob to give me the keys. I Am Sneaky.
The Car
Wedded BLus, Amber + Jacob 4Evar!!!
The Car, II
Fish House, GET IT ON, Green Lantern, Schwinggg!!!
The Car, III
:Just Married, And Gettin' Some, Help!
Back to the Event
We'd done our job.
Where Were We?
Our absence had been spotted.
Jacob and Grandma
Aww, he's dancing with Grandma!
Jacob and Grandma, II
You deserve that smile, Jacob.
Last Dance
As it got dark, we wrapped things up.
Last Dance, II
I've gotta go figure out a way to hang out with these guys again soon. Soon!
