Christmas Eve and Christmas 2005

The worst part of Christmas Eve this year was that Bridget was sick at home, so we weren't able to see her traditional dog-biscuit opening. Otherwise, everything was good and fun; the family was gathered, we were all in good spirits, and I had plenty of odd items to hand out. It was, as usual, a satisfying time.

I've also included the shots of Christmas at the Dillmans' place, which was also fun. If nothing else, it made me feel better about Amazon not mailing me my packages... because Beth's family had the same problems.

Images
Celeste
She was feeling a bit sick that day, but it was still good to have her around for a while.
Beth
A good smile, as usual. *smile*
Dad
I like that he gave up his chair for the girls.
Flat Cat
Sheba was happy to have the bed to herself. Comfort at last...
Annoyed Cat
"Don't wake me up!"
Sitting-Out Stuff
Danny was playing with the things lying around the house, specifically the book we got from Uncle Bil and the calendar that was being sent to him.
Piles of Gifts
Our family believes in quantity over quality.
Dinner Table
We're still proud that we could use the dining room table this year... go Mom!
Cranberry Lotion
The story behind this: Danny bought it for Dad. The coupon was for "free with any purchase". The purchase was the box that held the lotion, which was $1. Go Danny.
Tim and Dad
I think we're related.
Tim and Dad, II
I'm trying to smile, Beth, I really am...
Celeste and Furby II
We gave Mom the new Furby for her birthday a few weeks before. She was still amused by this point...
Chicken-Dance Turkey
The first, and probably most awful, item of the night!
Turkey and Furby
And of course it tried to make friends with the Furby.
Mom
Mom likes it when everyone is nice to her Furby...
Rubber Ducky
Beth's gift to Danny. He needed that for vet school!
Animal Pow-Wow
Or perhaps a Furby Orgy. I don't really want to know.
Self-Shaking Salt Shakers
The ultimate in labor-saving devices! Mom and Dad actually use them now.
Piles of Stuff
Hot peppers, I believe. Oh, how Dad needs more of those!
Public Nerdity
And of course, Danny had to put on his new boxers for the night.
Pi Tin
I think that was the coolest item of the night
Cheerios Pollow
I've actually enjoyed using this thing. Who knew?
Cats Together?
What? This can't be? They hate each other!
Cats Together?, II
Even felines feel the call of Christmas, I guess.
Kiwifruit Coasters
Dad was amused by this most excellent of garage sale purchases.
Kiwifruit Loot
I got Dad a whole pile of the stuff, really. I think more came later...
Chew Toy for Bridget
She apparently tore this thing apart within an hour of getting it. I wasn't shocked. (Is this the only picture I got of Margaret?)
Matching Socks
Celeste got socks; I felt compelled to try them on, and this is what came of it.
Cloud Socks
These socks felt like clouds! At least, that's what the package said.
Cloud Socks, II
Guess which of these was my foot.
Democrat Mom
Proud to have an odd hat.
White Noise vs Canceller
Odd connections - a family specialty.
Back to the Turkey
Dad got quite a pile of loot, as did we all...
Resting Danny
It shows off his frog pants quite well.
Throwing Away Sheba
Into the wrapping paper disposal box with you, Kitty! Bye! (She wasn't amused.)
Dillman Tree
They put a lot more effort into their tree than any Skirvins put into theirs.
Amaryllis
My parents' gift to the Dillmans.
Rob and Beth
Rob's in focus, anyway.
Amazon Certificates
Oh, Amazon, how much more convenient it would have been for everybody if you had sent stuff on time!
Towering Tim
I'm not really that tall, but it's nice to have the occasional photographic proof that I'm not short either.
