Beth's College Graduation - 18 Dec 2005
Beth graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences in December 2005. She attended the full LAS graduation ceremony at Krannert, marching and wearing the robes and all the formal stuff. It wasn't really her cup of tea; but it made for a good photo op, and everyone that came to see get that diploma cover was incredibly proud to see her make it.

Foellinger Great Hall
I've gone through a lot of ceremonies in this hall at the Krannert Center for Performing Arts...
Waiting in Line
There were a lot of people going through that caremony...
Flower Sale
It's a good scam. I would have bought some if Beth liked roses at all.
Waiting for the Graduates
The empty seats await their hordes.
The Program
I'm sure I still have a copy around here somewhere.
Beth in the Program
But somehow, just seeing the name "Elisabeth Dillman" on there is enough for me.
Bagpipes
What kind of ceremony would it be without bagpipes? (Answer: quieter.)
Faculty Filing In
You can tell they're faculty because they're already hooded.
Walking Down the Stage
It's a bit too dark, but Beth is there...
Exiting the Stage
...and here she goes! There were more shotsin there, but they were even darker.
Changing Tassel Sides
The part of the ceremony that *really* means "congrats!"
Beth Is Done
I love the half-smile as she spotted me...
Triumphant Beth
She didn't enjoy being up there, but she was enjoying being done.
Beth, Close-Up
Is it silly that I'm just a bit weak-in-the-knees when I see this one?
Beth
With her all-important diploma cover.
Adjusting the Robes
I'm still best at getting candid shots.
Mom and Dad
My parents attended the event too; Dad cheered for Beth the loudest...
Beth and Rob
I think her brother was looking forward to finishing the same thing off some day.
Beth and Family
These ceremonies are, ultimately, about making the parents happy.
Post-Graduation Hordes
I didn't count how many people graduated that day; it was hundreds, certainly.
Post-Graduation Hordes, II
I didn't technically need any shots of them, but I liked the angle
Beth and Tim
Sometimes I don't need my buttons.
Dillman Family
Linda, Beth, Paul, and Rob. I like Rob's neck-angle.
Beth and Paul
Paul got the Stole of Gratitude. What a great made-up ceremony!
